There are numerous ways to make food and drinks from the fruits, and all of them are full of nutrition and very fresh. The smoothies are among the most delicious and mouth – watering drink for a hot summer day. However, it’s very difficult to make a smooth, tasty and icy smoothie even if you can buy the best blenders for smoothies. There are many requirements for a glass of smoothie to be perfect.
Not many people know how to control the smoothness and the ingredients in a glass of smoothie and they don’t really know how to add green vegetables into it without breaking the flavors or enhance the feeling with those bitter and hard – to – use vegetables. In this post, I will show you some of my experiences about those problems. They are based on my point of you so if you have any other ways to deal with them, please let me know. The Smoothie texture
Have you ever heard about food texture? Well to be more specific, they are qualities of a food or drink that can be tasted and felt with the human senses through actions such as taste, smell, touch… Each type of food has different textures. For example, the ice – cream has to get the acceptable amount of flavor taste and soft, or the biscuits have to be crunchy. They are the remarkable qualities to define whether the food is cooked well or badly.
To smoothie, there are several of food texture to be judged as well. They are listed below:
- Creamy: the smoothie mixture must bring enough feeling of milky and creamy in the mouth, but not too much or else the customer could be easily fed up with just one or two spoons.
- Chill: this drink is made by fruits, cream and ice, so that it has to achieve the right level of chilling but not too much because it can cause brain – freeze and make the drink to be annoying.
- Smooth: Just like its name, the mixture has to be smooth and creamy with nice color to attract people and maintain the best quality. Some people don’t pay attention to the liquid when they make glasses of smoothie. That’s the reason why their smoothies are not qualified with some pieces of unprocessed milk or fruits.
The qualities of your smoothie can bring the best feeling for the people who are looking for a non – fat and healthy dessert. Therefore knowing how to maintain the food texture of the smoothie is very important.
Using ice in your smoothie
This is a small addition to your smoothie to make sure that it’s chill and refreshing. A glass of green smoothie with some crushes ice cubes is the great way to lift up one’s mood and balance the mind.
There is just only a problem when you use the ice: estimate the time. Since the ice inside your smoothie is not consistent for a long time, so that you should know when to prepare the ice cubes and when to put it into your smoothie. The best way to solve this is freeze some of your ingredients before blending so as to achieve the best result.
The best estimation I’ve made so far is the combination between the frozen fruit and the grained ice cubes should account for about two – third of the total ingredients. But if you already have your solutions, don’t hesitate to reply to me and we’ll if it’s possible or not.
How to maintain the weight of the smoothie?
You might already know about the strength of the blender. It depends mostly on the weight of the liquid. So that if you want your smoothie to be smooth and have a perfect density between the liquid and the fruit, you should freeze the smoothie liquid a little bit.
You can use the ice cube trays to freeze the liquid before using for the blender. Don’t worry about the flavors. It will be stored perfectly under the cold and so does the colors. It might make your mixture a little more icy, but if you can do this, you don’t have to put in any ice cube made of water. This is another way to prevent the smoothie from being blended with water and still cold enough to serve and use for a long time.
