Apple Ginger Brandy

Aaaah alcohol…er…I mean fall.  Apple cider is such a welcome sight when fall comes.  You can drink it alone, add it to savory dishes, add it to desserts and make mixed drinks with it.  What a perfect fall beverage.   I am having some friends over tomorrow and I want to serve a nice fall drink. So I had to experiment with some before I found the one that I like best.  As a start, I wanted to combine the sweet cider with the bubbly ginger ale.  I used spiced cider because, honestly, it saves me time.  I don’t have to add cinnamon and such to the cider – because it is already there.

For the ginger ale, I used Fever Tree Premium Ginger Ale.  I love the flavor of this ginger ale.  Strong in ginger flavor.  I suggest trying it if you get a chance, but it is not necessary for this drink.  You can use your favorite ginger ale.

For the alcohol, I used ginger brandy.  Sooooo good.  If you have not tried ginger brandy, I suggest you find a reason to.  I have used it in my apple sangria before and now I have more uses for it.  The ginger brandy gave the drink a subtle kick without being too strong or overwhelming.  It also blended well with both the ginger ale and the apple cider.  This is the kind of drink I could sip all night…if I had to.  I know that it will be a big hit with my guests.

I’ve written the directions for one drink and not four because sometimes you just want to come home after work and have one drink.  I know that I just had to do math after work and trying to figure out 1/4 of the ingredients is just too much for me.

This design is spectacular! You definitely know how
to keep a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos,
I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Excellent job.
I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it.
    Too cool!
