Well….I saw this recipe coming.  It’s fall, I love sangria, I love apple cider and ginger brandy is my new favorite beverage….this drink had to happen.  I have been in love with ginger flavored brandy lately.  You can feel the love from a few of my recent posts.  Ginger flavored brandy is a great drink this time of year.

I used a light Pinot Grigio wine because I felt the addition of the cider and the ginger brandy needed to shine.  I welcome you to try any wine, but I loved the crisp feel of the Pinot Grigio in this drink.  I added some fruits that are seasonal such as apples and pears.  These fruits blended well with the cider and ginger brandy also.   You may notice I added a quick shot of Triple Sec into this drink.  I have been adding Triple Sec to my sangria’s for quite some time and I felt the flavor paired well with the added fruits and liquor in this drink.

The cinnamon had to be added because one of my favorite Sangria’s at a local restaurant adds a ton of cinnamon to their white sangria.  I love just a touch of it in a white sangria to add a spicy hint to the drink.

This is a great dish for a get together with friends or for an afternoon brunch.  It goes well with so many events this time of year and I am sure you will love it.
